In the UK, Safran Seats specializes solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for supporting all people matters arising throughout the employee life cycle. To advise, guide and coach managers on HR best practice, ensuring consistency in the application of the people policies across the business. To be the first point of contact in all people related issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Effectively advise, guide and coach managers through all people related issues, promoting best practice and ensuring consistency in managing issues.
2. Develop effective and strong relationships with managers at all levels to promote good employee relations, coaching where needed to encourage early intervention to prevent escalation where possible.
3. Advise and support on the management of formal people processes, attending formal meetings and ensuring accurate records are taken and providing advice on process where necessary.
4. Lead on Absence Management across the business, proactively liaising with managers to ensure absence issues are addressed in a consistent way, through coaching, advising and supporting managers.
5. Responsible for advising on occupational sick pay entitlements, liaising with payroll to ensure timely communication with employees of changes in pay whilst absent.
6. To be the main point of contact with the Occupational Health provider. Responsible for making referrals where necessary and ensuring the medical reports are informative to the business. Liaise with the provider for usage information to share with the business.
7. To promote EAP where appropriate. Liaise with the EAP provider for usage to share with the business.
8. Responsible for provision of agreed MI across the business, including data analysis and insight.
9. To attend departmental management meetings to review and discuss workforce planning, people related issues and MI reports.
10. To review and assist in improving HR processes to provide a first class HR service.
11. To work with the HR Business Partner in supporting the PDP for the HR Administration.
Candidate Requirements
1. CIPD or equivalent HR qualification
2. Demonstrable experience of dealing with a broad range and high volume of HR issues as a HR generalist
3. Working knowledge of HR processes and systems
4. Experience of working with HR Systems such as ADP / SAP / Success Factors and ability to extract information.
5. Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills and able to build strong effective working relationships at all levels
6. Competent user of MS Office applications (including intermediary level Excel and Word)
7. Excellent organisational skills; demonstrable ability to multi-task whilst still meeting deadlines.
