What you’ll be doing:
* Carry out routine work with limited supervision and understand safety consequences in a high-risk environment.
* Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders (i.e., Engineering, Royal Navy, MOD, and Build Operations) to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner.
* Instruct and mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge and competency.
* Research, author, and review design and test documentation.
* Keep full and accurate records of work activities as required by policy, procedure, and legislation.
* Represent the Company on Factory Acceptance Tests and offsite test facilities, Contractors sea trials, and other outworking requirements with scope for overseas travel.
* Deliver assigned activities in line with Company policy, procedures, and legislation.
Your skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of AC and DC Electrical Generation and Power distribution systems.
* Understanding of the role and how T&C contributes to the wider business and UK enterprise.
* Knowledge of safety controls and procedures in a high-risk environment.
* Aware of Nuclear Site/Authorisation Conditions.
* Experience working with Distribution Systems, Fire Protection Systems, and Electrical Testing.
* Knowledge of Instrumentation Systems including Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, PLCs, and Fibre Optics.

The Electrical Commissioning Team:
You will be part of the team responsible for commissioning the first of class electrical power and distribution plant on the first of class, next generation of Dreadnought submarines. The scope of the Dreadnought Programme is the delivery of four SSBNs to the Royal Navy to maintain Continuous At Sea Deterrence (CASD). We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
