Job Advert Role Description
The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is a 56 bedded hospital and is part of the Priory Group, leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services and is a principle provider to the NHS in the north of England, focussing on positive holistic outcomes through full service provision
Providing quality, inspiring innovation and delivering value is what we set out to achieve at Priory Healthcare. Enabling our patients with mental health difficulties to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Priory Group offers services to the private sector as well as to the NHS. Private services are provided by visiting consultants. These consultants are not employed by the Priory Group but have practising privileges and as such are entitled to see outpatients on Priory premises and to admit their patients, under their care to Priory private beds. Priory Group has large multidisciplinary teams who are able to provide evidence based therapies recommended to these private service users, without long waiting lists for the treatment they require. Additionally Priory has excellent governance processes and ensures a good, safe quality service.
The role of a visiting consultant offers you the opportunity to build a private outpatient practice, alongside a private inpatient practice.
At present we are wishing to source child and adolescent psychiatrists and general adult psychiatrist.
Some locations may require you to participate in an on call rota to cover the site that has private beds out of hours. You will be expected to adhere to Priory Group standards and policies throughout your practice.
‘All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Priory Group will cover the cost of a DBS check for all successful applicants.’
Due to limits on sponsorship allocations, we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review.
