My client are a leading designer and provider of embedded computer and video hardware products used in a wide range of industrial applications worldwide.
We have a vacancy for an experienced Hardware Digital Design Engineer based at our research and development lab located in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to get inside the heart of the expanding and vibrant digital video plus AI/ML technology industry.
Working to develop and expand our range of embedded computer and digital video products, as part of a dynamic team of Electronics and Software Engineers, the responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Hardware design of new products – from feasibility to production
· Schematic circuit design using Cadence/Orcad/Altium
· PCB layout review
· Preparing design documentation
· Supporting the product development life cycle - specification, prototyping, functional testing, validation.
· Working with sales team to define solutions in response to customer requirements
· Working with engineering team to provide support to customers
Description of Person (Main skills, personal attributes) Technical Skills
· Ideally 5+ Years experience with high speed digital circuit design.
· Experience with following interfaces: PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, RS-232/RS-485/RS-422
· Familiarity with video interfaces: HDMI/DVI, HD-SDI, DP, VGA, Composite
· Experience of Programmable Logic, FPGA and microControllers
· Design of highspeed Digital/Analogue circuits
· Programming in C/C++
· Working knowledge of MS Office applications
· Qualified to Degree level
