Apply today Job Details Location: Croydon CR9 0DB Hours and Days: Monday - Friday 08:00 – 16:00 39 hours per week Rate of Pay : £12.36 Job Purpose: The Warehouse Operative / Porter is responsible for carrying out any role required of them within the warehouse environment. This can range from picking and packing of orders within the automated system, the medical bulk area, the fridge area and secure areas, whilst if required, carrying out roles within the transport environment. They are responsible for the overall processing of the customer orders efficiently and at the agreed company rate. Key Accountability: Where required must accurately assemble items from the pick documentation and ensure that the quantity picked is accurate. Special care must be taken to avoid damage and the appropriate bin/packaging used - all damages must be reported to the line team leader. Any pick face errors must be reported to the line team leaders immediately Hospital orders are assembled in the same way but must be given to the hospital checker to ensure accuracy Medical Bulk orders, Fridge orders & Secure area orders must be picked in the same way however each have specific criteria that will be covered through training Awareness of Health & Safety procedures always. The warehouse area must be always kept clean and tidy and free from rubbish.
