Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role as a Registered Care Manager located in Porth. In your new role, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and overseeing the day-to-day running of our 4 bedded Children's home supporting Young People with Emotional & Behavioral Disorders. This includes maintaining a high standard of care, ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to, and upholding CIW regulations. You will also work closely with children, their families, and other professionals to provide a nurturing, safe environment for our children. Qualifications: Have level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or working towards this qualification. Minimum two years’ experience of supervising and managing staff. To have experience of working within a residential setting. Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Passion for helping children and young people achieve their potential and ability to lead and motivate a team. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle. Ability to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rota as required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good knowledge of relevant childcare legislation. Be prepared to undertake mandatory training. Be committed in promoting anti-discriminatory practice and setting good examples of practice within the workplace. Attend reviews and care-planning meetings.
