Zachary Daniels are partnering with an established, exciting and growing retail and eCommerce business on a bold growth trajectory. The business operates at pace, has a strong brand and has experienced robust performance in recent years which will be built upon during the next chapter of growth.
About the role
Partnering with the CEO and Shareholders, the CFO will play a key role in achieving ambitious targets, guiding the business through a planned period of strategic growth, coupled with potential for acquisition activity.
Key responsibilities
1. Contributing to strategic business planning and building financial budgets in accordance with strategies developed.
2. Monitoring and interpreting cash flow positions and predicting future trends.
3. Interpreting and presenting financial information, including management reporting in respect of financial performance, and using outputs to produce short and long-term financial forecasts.
4. Developing strong relationships with the commercial and operational business leaders, providing robust challenge, insight and support.
5. Playing a critical role in ensuring financial and investment plans are aligned with business objectives and goals.
6. Leadership and development of a large finance team.
7. Delivering the professionalisation of the finance function, ensuring a robust control framework that supports the growth of the business.
8. Ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are put in place (both within the finance function itself and in other related areas of the business) to cope with the business present needs and evolving such systems and processes to meet future requirements.
9. Preparation and presentation of reporting to the Board; continued development and upgrading of the businesss MI to aid management decision making, forward planning and support delivery of the business plan.
10. Ownership of the Companys banking relationship and day-to-day banking, negotiating/arranging appropriate banking facilities to meet the requirements of the business, ensuring compliance with banking facility agreements.
11. Identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities which support the businesss strategy for growth.
12. Oversight of external auditing processes and other external partnerships.
13. Communicating regularly and proactively with the board and shareholders regarding the companys performance and forecasts.
Minimum Requirements
1. Qualified Accountant, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CCAB equivalent.
2. Previous CFO experience in a large fast moving organisation essential.
3. Significant experience of managing significant banking relationships essential.
4. Experience of M&A, Purchase, Disposal and Corporate Transactions highly beneficial.
