Regional Operations Manager (O&M)- Scotland

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Operations Manager (O&M) to join our team, looking after the Scottish Region.
We are looking for a highly skilled professional to oversee the day-to-day running of energy centres within a commercial and residential portfolio across the Scottish region, specifically in the energy generation industry, particularly in district heating and steam generation, including projects for the NHS. This role involves ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while upholding Vital Energi's standards. The ideal candidate will manage the entire project lifecycle, from identifying tenders to handling operation and maintenance, with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), while also winning new contracts.
The Role
* Deliver cash, margin and sales in accordance with budgets and forecasts. Lead and manage work winning meetings/tenders with estimating, design and commercial staff to ensure proposals are produced on schedule and result in successful outcomes.
* Identify innovative solutions for the winning of work and delivery of projects utilising tools such as smart modelling and off site manufacturing alongside supply chain engagement.
* Attend and lead pre-contract and contract review meetings in conjunction with senior commercial staff.
* Understand the contract and client requirements for performance and delivery of the projects.
* Approve and maintain inspection and test plans, commissioning programmes.
* Ensure O&M manuals are produced and issued in accordance with the project requirements.
* Manage project teams in ensuring that project viability is maintained.
* Attend site meetings and produce contract status reports.
* Review systems and methods, changing and modifying when required to improve contract performance.
* Engage with potential clients to build relationships and work as a leader of the bid team.
* Promote and comply with the Company’s policies on equality and health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
* Engage with your manager in reviewing your performance and planning your development.
* Coach and develop direct reports to achieve targeted goals and objectives.
The Person
* Successful background controlling large value projects or a number of lesser projects at one time.
* Experience in developing collaborative working environments which produce high performing teams.
* Develop knowledge and experience of undertaking projects as the Principal Contractor.
* Excellent financial awareness and understanding of the need to adhere to strict timetables to maximise profits and have the ability to identify potential problems and resolve them at an early stage.
* Drive, excellent people management and team working skills.
