Role: Setting Coordinator for Before and After School Clubs

Key Responsibilities:
1. Programme Planning and Coordination:
o Assist in planning and delivering a variety of engaging activities that cater to the interests of children.
o Ensure activities are age-appropriate, fun, and aligned with overall programme objectives.
o Support the creation and updating of lesson plans to keep the programme fresh and relevant.
2. Staff Support and Supervision:
o Provide day-to-day guidance and support to staff, including play workers and volunteers.
o Help with onboarding new staff and conducting basic training.
o Assist in scheduling and managing staff rosters for smooth operation of the programme.
3. Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure a safe environment is maintained for all children and staff.
o Follow established safety protocols and report any incidents to senior staff.
o Maintain accurate records, including attendance and incident reports.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
o Act as a point of contact for parents, addressing their inquiries and sharing updates on children's activities.
o Work closely with senior staff and administrators to ensure programme activities align with company policies.
o Support relationships with community organisations to bring additional resources or activities to the programme.
5. Support for Marketing and Outreach:
o Assist with promoting the program to increase participation.
o Help create and distribute simple promotional materials, such as newsletters or flyers.
Qualifications:
· Education:
o A diploma or certificate in Education, Childcare, or a related field is preferred.
· Experience:
o Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within educational or recreational programs.
o Experience working with children in a group setting is essential.
· Skills:
o Strong communication and teamwork skills.
o Basic leadership and organisational skills.
o Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols.
o A passion for working with children and creating positive experiences.
· Certifications:
o First Aid certification.
o Safeguarding and Food Hygiene certifications
o (or willingness to obtain).
Work Environment:
· The Setting Coordinator will work primarily within the school environment, with both indoor and outdoor settings.
