Position Summary The Technical Project Manager will use project management methodologies and best practices to deliver projects on time and within budget. He/she will be working in a fast paced and dynamic team environment handling a varied portfolio of high visibility projects with many stakeholders and sometimes competing priorities. He/she will work closely with other infrastructure and application teams to design, plan and implement technical solutions including leading and directing project resources through to implementation, in a global data network environment. Key Competencies • Must be passionate about IT Networks and Applications • Documented project management skills • Good analytical skills, with strong attention to detail • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Project, Visio, Word and Excel are required. Familiarity with PPM tools. • Must have a good understanding of ITIL • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Self-motivated with the ability to function independently with minimal supervision in a deadline driven work environment. • Effective communication skills to speak to all levels of the organization • Experienced in managing external vendors for project support, data migration, system integrations • Able to work in a global environment and build relationships remotely • Operates using a high standard of excellence and precision for a 24x7 operating environment • Experience working in a regulated environment Key Responsibilities The Technical Project Manager will be performing daily administration and project support tasks for the IT PMO activities. Typical duties for this position will include but are not limited to: • Perform project leadership functions, such as preparing project plans, monitoring and reporting on project progress, highlighting risks against the plan and desired solution, and mentoring team members; • Communicate frequently with all project stakeholders to provide project status, risk analysis, technical recommendations and resource constraints that may impact strategic direction; • Create, manage and update tasks, resource allocation and the overall project timeline; • Manage multiple project budgets keeping a tight control on costs • Provide subject matter expertise to the team throughout the project life cycle by acting as the liaison to the respective design, development, quality assurance and support teams; • Support project implementations which often occur outside of standard business hours • Gathers and reports daily/monthly team metrics for responsible projects; • Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
