What are the core responsibilities of this role?
1. Providing pastoral care and wellbeing support to all learners.
2. Being the point of contact for all safeguarding issues.
3. Developing appropriate links and maintaining good working relationships with external support organisations.
4. Conducting learner interviews and inductions, including meeting and greeting all learners, completing and checking all relevant documentation, delivering structured induction sessions, and ensuring all learners have a clear understanding of the provision and programme.
What skills and experience are we looking for in potential applicants?
1. Professional and articulate with effective communication skills.
2. Experience and knowledge of working with disengaged youths and challenging behaviour.
3. Good knowledge of safeguarding requirements within youth provisions.
4. Ability to motivate and inspire young people starting on their career paths.
5. Passionate about working with young people and making a difference.
6. Exceptionally organised with the ability to work to multiple deadlines and priorities.
7. Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
8. Welsh speaking would be advantageous.
9. Learning Coach L4 Qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
