Role Objective
- Reporting into the Teams Finance Manager, responsible for the daily accounting and month end processes and providing general ad hoc financial support to the Team Finance Function. Working with the Teams Finance Manager to make sure month end processes are performed timely and accurately, appropriate audit trails documented for all transactions and making sure technical accounting is reflected in the monthly accounts and reporting. Key for this role is to support Teams Finance Managers on a variety of tasks in addition to delivering daily accounting and month end tasks.
Responsibilities
1. Ownership of daily accounting activities
2. Performing month end processes including accruals, depreciation and reconciliations
3. Supporting month end review and reporting processes including variance commentary
4. Supporting AP and AR functions and ensuring all information is captured and reported accurately
5. Supporting FP&A and cashflow activities
6. Supporting year-end audit and reporting requirements
7. Additional ad hoc work from within the finance Team
Experience
1. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who is looking to either kick start their career or develop their existing skills
2. Ideally working towards bookkeeping or accounting qualification
3. Good written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
4. Moderate Excel skills and experience using accounting systems
5. Xero or SAP experience good but not essential
6. Ability to work in fast paced team and meet tight deadlines
7. A professional who is also entrepreneurial, and has a client-minded focus
8. Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines
9. Be able to work in different areas of the business and support where needed
