Job Purpose: The role holder will work as a key part of the Digital & Technologies domain team writing online guidance to support the opening of Innovate UK’s funding programmes. They will use expert language skills and collaborative team working. They will work with the D&T Domain team and the other Content Developers to produce competition content to tight deadlines. All content must be in line with Government Digital Service standards. This means supporting the development of GOV.UK compliant language and content with colleagues and aiding their understanding of GOV.UK standards. This may include work with other teams to review content across some areas of the website and the digital Innovation Funding Service. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Write for a variety of audiences – always from the start point of clear, plain English Communicate Innovate UK funding competitions on GOV.UK, focusing on the customer journey and user needs at all stages Manage stakeholder and senior management expectations and needs Ensure key milestones and deadlines are met and own workload is managed proactively Work collaboratively with the project teams and content team Use SEO principles to create copy and content without losing engagement levels Manage external suppliers as and when required (although most of the content delivered will be created by the post-holder) This is not an exhaustive list and you might be encouraged to undertake any other duties across the wider directorate, commensurate with the Band and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the key experience and/or training.
