Sheridan Maine is excited to partner with a well known and thriving client based in Southampton to recruit for an Assistant Accountant.
Joining a welcoming and supportive team environment within the finance department, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in transactional finance. Study support is available for the successful candidate.
As the Assistant Accountant, key responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing key information for the monthly management accounts pack.
2. Month end accounts and balance sheet reconciliation.
3. Bank account reconciliation.
4. Assisting with sales & purchase ledger when required.
5. Reconcile payments and resolve queries.
6. Prepayments.
7. Assist with VAT returns.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
8. AAT qualified or working towards the qualification.
9. Proven working experience in accounting and finance.
10. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
11. Motivated and excels in a fast-paced environment.
12. Driven to meet deadlines and targets, demonstrating a strong desire to succeed.
13. Intermediate Excel skills for effective data management.
14. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
