Let us introduce the role AWE is currently recruiting for a NTR Operations Specialist within the NTR Operational Support Team. This team maintain and provide the various assets used by the offsite response - equipment, vehicles, communications and the responders. The offsite response will deploy to live incidents and work with partner agencies to resolve crisis situations. Our prompt and effective contribution is critical to public safety, protection of property and national security. This team also support training and exercises. A key part of this role will be around supporting a number of staff from one of our key partners to maintain all aspects of their individual site access requirements to enter a nuclear licensed site. Other relevant tasking will be assigned to the successful candidate. Who are we looking for? This role is ideally suited to someone who has coordinated staff and has experience of offsite operations led by partner agencies. We do need you to have the following: Experience of coordinating taskings for staff from the blue light services Proven organisational skills Evidence of Resilience when undertaking convoluted tasks An ability to prioritise whilst managing concurrent tasks Flexibility when undertaking roles Delivery to time, cost and quality Being a great team player Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to communicate well - both written and verbal Self-motivation, innovation and problem solving Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience of: Real life operational experience from the blue light services Management of staff from the blue light services through short notice or complex tasking You'll need to have the ability to: Work in the Operational Support Team supporting or leading on a variety of projects, which could include: Operational Readiness Management of responders Assurance activities Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships Deliver tasks to a high standard to time, cost and quality Provide success metrics as required Identify and report to the local accountability board (Visual Management Boards) Work alone or as part of a team, and being a great team player This role may require occasional travel around the UK. Hybrid working is possible with this role on an informal non-contractual basis. There would be an expectation that the successful applicant would be coming to site at least 2 days per week, and more if required.
