Main duties of the job

A key part of your role is ensuring continuity of care, fostering an environment where patients feel supported and confident in their journey.
Excellence Through Continuous Improvement underpins our approach, and you will drive ongoing service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, increase efficiency, and strengthen communication. You will encourage innovation and professional development, supporting your team in refining clinical practices and embracing evidence-based advancements to ensure we consistently deliver outstanding elective surgical care.
Teamwork Underpins Everything We Do, and as the site’s senior leader, you will not only manage the team but also champion a culture of collective and empowered leadership at all levels. Through effective delegation, coaching, and shared decision-making, you will nurture a workplace where all team members feel valued, engaged, and accountable. The successful applicant will be either a Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC).
About us
IHG was set up in 2004 by Dr. Matthew Wordsworth with the aim of offering patients the choice of being treated out of hospital, closer to home. Matt wanted to create a new health care organisation in which like-minded health care professionals could deliver truly patient-centred care. Our aim was to be a leading provider of community-based diagnostic and treatment services of the highest quality, where patients always come first.
In the summer of 2022, we proved this, with our Outstanding CQC rating.
We work in a different kind of environment than that of an acute hospital setting. Our patients see the same clinician and are offered specific appointment times. Our staff work within small teams with plenty of time for patient contact. We provide services Monday to Friday, so there is no evening working, and nor do we operate on bank holidays. We pride ourselves on being a flexible employer. If your working hours need to be juggled around for you to achieve a good work-life balance, we will try to meet your needs.
We offer our staff an innovative, alternative way of delivering health care, have a very patient-centred approach with short waiting times for our patients, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a fantastic organisation, as well as the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a surgical setting.
