We have an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground level as a new procurement department is set up to look at all aspects of contracts/renewals, imported data, etc. Your role will be as a Procurement Assistant based at their site in Basingstoke.
Your day-to-day duties include:
1. Ensuring that each supplier has been through and completed the supplier on-boarding process.
2. Maintaining the supplier document store with all up-to-date supplier agreements including any amendments and addendums.
3. Understanding and communicating to the Procurement Director when supplier agreements are due to expire.
4. Collating and presenting any supplier variations such as annual price increases into an Excel spreadsheet or any other form as might be required to be used in supplier negotiations or to underpin the annual group budget.
5. Helping in the communication with the senior management teams of each group company to understand what supplier agreements are controlled by the procurement team and what will be delegated down to the senior management team.
You may come from a background in procurement, but this is not essential. Candidates will be considered without the relevant background if they have strong analytical ability and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables. You must have strong math ability, with a minimum of GCSE grade 6 (B) required, preferably A level. You will be dynamic and really want to embrace the role as you streamline and create cost savings for the business.
