Summary YASA is seeking a Facilities Manager, to oversee the day-to-day facilities operations of our Bicester-based manufacturing sites, including maintenance, security, and space utilization. You will be reporting to the Head of Facilities and be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our Bicester facility, ensuring they operate smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is for a 2-year fixed-term contract. Ensuring all Facilities Job requests are managed via the Limble software system. Collaborating with various internal departments to understand their facility needs and develop strategies to meet those needs effectively. Monitoring and controlling facility budgets, tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and preparing reports for senior management. Conducting regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvements. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes. Planning and executing facility projects, renovations, and upgrades, coordinating with external contractors and internal stakeholders. Leading emergency preparedness efforts, developing and implementing contingency plans for various scenarios. Inspecting and carrying out ad-hoc building repairs. Managing all of the Hard & Soft FM Contracts for the Bicester site. Managing supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, ensuring service levels are met, and monitoring supplier performance. Ensuring building and grounds maintenance are maintained to high standards. Ensuring the facilities are always clean & comfortable for all users. Managing waste disposal systems. Liaising with our Security Provider to ensure a constant security presence. Managing parking facilities and ensuring space allocation is best utilised. Repairing faults as the first port of call for facilities machine/equipment breakdowns. Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime. Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault-finding. Advising on technical issues, whilst liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities. Monitoring machine & equipment performance. To succeed in this role, we believe you'll need: Previous experience in facilities management or a related field. A strong understanding of building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems. Knowledge of UK building regulations and associated health and safety standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, contractors, and stakeholders effectively. Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills to address facility-related issues promptly. Budgeting and financial management skills to control costs and optimise resource allocation. A proficiency in project management principles to oversee facility improvement and renovation projects. A customer-focused approach to meet the needs of our people and the wider business. Though not expected, it would be very beneficial if you have: A professional qualification or degree in facilities management (e.g. IWFM Level 4 or above), business management, engineering, or a related field.
