A vacancy has arisen for a Pre-Charge Officer within the File Preparation Unit, Crime & Justice Department.
The main requirement of the role is to provide an administrative review of the initial case material to ensure that pre-charge advice cases meet the required standard to comply with the National File Standards and the Directors Guidance on Charging before electronic submission to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The successful candidate will be an organised and efficient administrator and have previous experience or knowledge of the Criminal Justice System together with excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone with experience in the operation of computerised word processing and database systems. The post holder will be self-motivated, flexible and be able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision. It is also important to be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
