Role: Bookkeeper/ Management Accountant
Location: Henley on Thames
Salary: £30,000+
Puro Associates is recruiting for a highly motivated Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join a dynamic and innovative firm. In this position, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the company's broad client base, across various industries and business sizes. The role will offer a wide range of tasks, including bookkeeping, preparation of management accounts, and VAT work, providing plenty of variety.

Key Responsibilities:
* Daily bookkeeping using Xero accounting software, including processing invoices and performing bank reconciliations.
* Reviewing bookkeeping prepared by junior team members.
* Reconciling control accounts.
* Posting monthly wages journals.
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard.
* Preparing and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns under all types of VAT schemes.
* Preparing and filing monthly CIS returns.
* Liaising with clients on queries and submissions.
* Attending client premises, when necessary, to undertake on-site bookkeeping.
* Providing Xero training to clients.
* Other ad-hoc duties as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Recent and relevant bookkeeping experience, including preparing and submitting VAT returns and reconciling control accounts.
* Previous experience preparing management accounts is desirable, but training will be provided.
* AAT qualified.
* Xero certified.
* Experience with Xero reporting, Datamolino, Concur, Expensify, and Fathom is desirable, but not essential.
* Strong hands-on approach, diligent with excellent client interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
* High attention to detail.
* Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* A team player with a strong work ethic and drive.
* Ability to work independently and to meet tight deadlines.
