Job Description:
Secondary Cover Supervisor
Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same? Do you want to make a difference in young people’s lives while having the flexibility to balance work with your personal commitments? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and confident individuals to join our team as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools. The best part? Although previous classroom experience/qualifications are preferred, no formal qualifications are required for this role— we can provide FREE training to get you classroom-ready.
What does a Cover Supervisor do?
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, ensuring lessons continue smoothly. Your role involves:
* Delivering pre-set lesson plans to classes
* Managing classroom behaviour confidently and calmly
* Encouraging and supporting students to stay on task
* Creating a positive, engaging environment
Why become a Cover Supervisor?
Flexible work — choose the days that suit you. If you want to work in the same school 5 days a week, we can look for that. If you want to do 2/3 days a week, that is also fine. If you are happy doing daily supply and working in various schools, that is also fine with us. We work with you and your availability.
Perfect for gaining experience in schools — ideal if you’re considering a future in teaching or education.
* Perfect if you are an experienced Teacher/Educator and want to move to part-time
* No planning and marking
Experience working with children or young people — this could be in a school, sports club, youth group, or similar setting.
A good sense of humour and a positive personality — you’ll connect with students and staff alike.
Confidence in managing behaviour — you’ll lead the classroom with authority and empathy.
If you are not in the Swindon area and cannot travel, we also work with all Secondary schools throughout Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath/NE Somerset, Somerset, Gloucester. So please still apply; there is a school and role for you.
If you’re ready to step into an exciting, flexible role that fits around your life — and you’re passionate about helping young people succeed — we’d love to hear from you!
What We Offer You:
* Competitive pay rates through PAYE—because your talent deserves to be rewarded.
* A flexible work-life balance that fits around your commitments—you’re in control.
* Ongoing support from our friendly team of consultants—we’ve got your back.
* Opportunities to fast-track your career—today’s supply role could be tomorrow’s permanent position.
