CNC Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in East Kent, is looking for a new CNC Operator to join their expanding and successful team. As the successful candidate, you will set and operate CNC multi-tasking lathes to manufacture components from raw materials.
Key Responsibilities for the role of CNC Setter/Operator
* Setting and operating CNC multi-tasking lathes
* Inspecting work produced using measuring equipment to engineer drawings and reporting any quality defects to supervision
* Daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on machines, including maintaining good housekeeping standards and reporting any issues promptly to supervision
* Optimising efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times, plus tool life monitoring
* Deburring, cleaning, final inspection, and completion of all traceability documentation
Person Specifications for the role of CNC Setter/Operator
* Must be educated to GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English grade C or higher
* Practical, hands-on experience setting and operating CNC lathes, within a minimum of 4 axis
* Previous experience in cycle time reduction, tool management, and optimisation
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and with minimal supervision
* Ability to work to tight deadlines would be extremely useful
* Experience in reading Fanuc-based programs is required for this role
* Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings is essential to the role
* Must have a good housekeeping ideology & good H&S standards
