Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: £27,000 Per Annum.
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset TA6.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.
Probationary Period: 6 Months.
About The Role:
The company is looking for a reliable and organised Inventory Coordinator to manage their stock control, ordering, and shipment processes. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of their supply chain and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
As an inventory coordinator, you will oversee the storage and distribution of goods, ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Completes store operational requirements.
* Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
* Ensures availability of stock and services for customers, maintaining inventories.
* Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean warehouse environment.
* Organising inventory, so it is easily accessible and safe for those working in the storage area.
* Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Managing all functions of stock and equipment and to ensure that stock levels do not run out.
* Keeping track of what is stored in stock and inventory and keeping records of where the inventory and stock has been utilised.
* Ensure minimum and maximum stock thresholds are always maintained, stock levels are regularly checked and order in parts from suppliers.
* Accepting all deliveries of stock. This includes ensuring that they are not damaged, and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.
* Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures.
* Organise the dispatching of finished goods and products. You must ensure that the product is suitably packaged, and that the delivery service used is suitable for any time constraints that may apply to the situation.
* Ensure all stock has serial numbers and organised well.
* Regular stock take.
* Van audits (float stock) and make sure that store stocks are available to replenish the service vans.
* To liaise with your line manager on stock levels and requirements.
* To help occasionally the team in other tasks not related to your main duties.
