We are seeking a Lead Design Manager to spearhead our design initiatives and drive innovation across our high-profile projects. The role As Lead Design Manager, you will be at the forefront, contributing to our design strategy, overseeing multiple project teams and shaping our approach to design across the organisation. Key responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Design and Information Manager on design progress, quality and performance, ensuring alignment with targets and budgets. Leading and Mentoring a team of Design Manager and Coordinators. Driving innovation in design processes, including the adoption of digital construction and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Collaborating with senior leadership to align design strategies with business goals. Representing the company at high-level client meetings and industry events. Ensuring design excellence across all projects, from tender to completion. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to secure Design & Build opportunities and identify future profitable projects. Implement cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to keep Henry Boot at the forefront of the industry. Manage and mitigate design-related risks across all projects. Drive sustainability and innovation in our design approach. Qualifications and skills: Extensive experience leading design teams on major projects (£50m). Strong build and design knowledge, particularly in multi-room high-rise developments. Proven track record of successfully implementing company-wide design strategies. Expert knowledge of BIM, MMC, and emerging construction technologies.
