SEN Teaching Assistant - Make a Real Impact!
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (Actual: £19,370.70 - £21,122.66, depending on experience) ...
Hours: 37 hours per week - Term Time Only

We're looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join us in supporting students aged 11-19 with a variety of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges. What You'll Be Doing:
1. Supporting Learning and Development: Work alongside a team of professionals to create a caring, engaging environment where each student can thrive.
2. Tailored Support: Help students with sensory and communication needs, providing one-on-one or small group support.
3. Building Positive Relationships: Build trust and connection with students, creating a safe and welcoming space for learning.
4. Managing Behaviour: Use creative strategies to manage and encourage positive behaviour, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
5. Personal Care: Assist with personal care when needed, ensuring every student feels supported and respected.
What You'll Need:
6. Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
7. Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
8. GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential.
9. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
10. A flexible and creative mindset to adapt learning and support strategies for individual needs.
