This leading housing association is looking for a Fire Risk Assessor to deliver fire risk assessment services within their domestic housing and properties. There are 2 roles covering North London and South London.
You will be undertaking surveys and ensuring health and safety legislation and council procedures are adhered to. You will carry out type 1, 3 & 4 fire risk assessments in domestic housing and care and support schemes, identifying hazards and risks, taking a co-operative lead in the strategic direction and delivery of the fire risk assessment programme, and ensuring best practice methods are used in the fire risk assessments.
We are looking for you to:
* Have previous experience of working as a fire risk assessor for residential housing and care and support schemes.
* Have at least practical experience of 30+ fire risk assessments in low/moderate risk buildings.
* Possess in-depth knowledge of fire and building/structural safety within social housing, including government and industry guidance, British standards, building regulations, and the requirements of the Fire Safety Order 2005 (RRO), Fire Safety Act 2022, and British standards.
* Be able to carry out site visits and physical inspections of work, including accessing loft spaces by means of ladders, etc.
* Have NEBOSH Fire Certificate/Diploma or be certified in Applied Fire Risk Assessment (previously FRA and Fire Safety Management).
