Lead Data Designer
Salary: Circa £70,000
This is a great job for someone who is looking to move beyond an Engineering role and build a leadership career in Software and Design. In this role, you will support initiatives focused on Data Analytic Software solutions by providing thought leadership on data architecture, design methodologies, and techniques, collaborating across the Data & Analytics platform to support the development of the technical roadmap throughout Aviva.
A bit about the job:
This is a fantastic opportunity that will see the successful applicant lead the design of data engineering solutions within the Platform team. This is to ensure we deliver a cost-effective and leading data engineering service into our supported business units. Part of your role will be to support strategic programmes, providing guidance on how we successfully approach the delivery of data engineering.
The team you will be part of is responsible for drafting and overseeing the engineering standards and roadmaps across the Data & Analytics Platform areas, working with areas like Group Architecture, other Platform Leads, as well as key business stakeholders to maximise value from the Platform.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Strong Data Analysis knowledge and experience
* Previous design experience using AWS, Snowflake, and DBT
* Good engagement and communication skills
* Proactive in identifying and resolving issues and challenges
* Previous experience of managing and delivering change (Desirable)
What you’ll get for this role:
* Starting salary circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
