Structural Engineer - Construction Consultancy
Location: Thames Ditton, Surrey
Salary: £40,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Arrangement: Office-based with hybrid working available upon completion of probation

The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, providing expert structural engineering services from inception through to completion. Chartered status is preferred but not necessary. This role could be full or part time if required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing and analysing structural elements for a variety of construction projects
2. Preparing detailed calculations and drawings
3. Conducting site inspections and assessments
4. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and contractors
5. Ensuring compliance with building regulations and standards
6. Providing technical guidance and support to the project team
7. Preparing reports and documentation for clients and regulatory bodies
8. Managing project timelines and deliverables
9. Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
10. Reviewing and approving contractor submissions
Requirements:
1. Degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
2. Chartered status welcomed, but not necessary
3. Proven experience as a Structural Engineer in a consultancy environment
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods
5. Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Strong understanding of building regulations and standards
8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
10. Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members
