Position: Early Years Assistant - fixed term until 02/05/2025
Location: Pirniehall Primary School Nursery
Salary: £24,909 - £25,116 (pro-rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team at Pirniehall Nursery.
About Our Nursery
Pirniehall Nursery offers places for children from three years until school age. We emphasize the importance of learning through play, encouraging children to develop their natural curiosity and creativity. This approach helps children form the habit of learning while also developing emotional maturity and social skills beneficial for their future education and behavior.
Before starting school, pupils will have opportunities to visit their new class and teacher, and parents will be informed about the Primary 1 curriculum and how they can best support their child's learning.

Class Times:
Morning class: 8.30am - 11.40am
Afternoon class: 12.15pm - 3.25pm

Applicants should be registered with the SSSC.
Additional Information:
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salary Progression: Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
