SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER Job ref: SSW30/Feb25 30 hours per week. Located in Worthing. 27 days’ annual leave; an additional three days at Christmas and statutory public holidays. Salary Band 4, starting at Scale Point 19: £29,717 per annum pro rata (i.e., final salary £24,094). Permanent contract. Stopover Supported Housing provides accommodation with support to young women across Brighton & Hove and West Sussex. It aims to enable young women to successfully transition between dependence and independence. We are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker to oversee this work at our new project in Worthing. Supported by both the Head of Supported Housing and the Stopover Service Manager, the role will ensure that appropriate and relevant support will be provided to all young women accommodated within the housing schemes.The role will include significant liaison with the local authority social services department and therefore we are looking for somebody willing and able to advocate on behalf of marginalised young women. You will: - be committed to fostering positive professional relationships with the young women.- understand the effects of early trauma on young women.- be able to provide ongoing support through the transition within the Stopover accommodation pathway. - support the West Sussex staff team from a senior level.
