Programme Manager for Multi-Trust Maternity Information System
NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board
This is an exciting opportunity to have a lead role in delivering a key ambition of the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) in Kent and Medway, where NHS services are working in partnership to improve their digital technology, making it easier for women, birthing people, and clinicians to access the information they need and for services to offer safe and personalised care.
The role will provide digitally focused strategic leadership for the joint re-procurement of maternity information systems (MIS) across Kent and Medway, ensuring that an aligned approach is maintained across the 4 provider trusts on behalf of the MIS re-procurement board led by the integrated care board.
You will report to the Associate Director for Maternity, Neonatal and Women's Health Services, and be part of the wider ICS Digital Team with opportunities to establish an extensive body of work and leadership development.
Main Duties of the Job
Coordinate the joint re-procurement of maternity information systems across Kent and Medway including:
* Ensure that there is an overarching aligned programme plan reflecting each trust's local timeline for procurement and implementation.
* Provide leadership to the local implementation teams who will be employed in each trust during different phases of the programme.
* Ensure that the jointly procured system will meet clinical and technical needs identified across the system in a cost-effective way, and release staff time in all providers to address workforce and productivity challenges which impact on care.
* Ensure that the programme approach and the product procurement and implementation aligns with wider digital infrastructure and future digital ambitions across the healthcare system and within each provider trust.
* Support provider trusts with resolving local challenges that may impact on implementation and effectiveness of the new system, particularly where a whole system approach can be taken across Kent and Medway - for example, community connectivity.
* Ensure data and metrics recording and reporting capability of the new MIS is deployed in a way that enables consistent comparable data collection across Kent and Medway to support ICB oversight of the quality and safety of services.
* Build strong working relationships with the ICB digital team and regional and national NHS digital teams to incorporate learning from other multi-trust digital re-procurement programmes.
