Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is a global market leader in the provision of the highest quality infrastructure solutions for supply throughout the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2025, they are now seeking to recruit an organised and experienced Project Planning Manager to oversee all aspects of proactive planning and delivery of multiple build projects, while maintaining the highest levels of quality, customer service, and satisfaction provided by the refurbishment division.
Reporting to the Divisional Operations Director, the successful Project Planning Manager candidate will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and logistics of temporary build solutions. You will be tasked with ensuring solutions are planned effectively, meet the highest quality standards, comply fully with industry regulations, and meet often pressurised timescales and deadlines while remaining within budget.
To be considered for this varied and genuinely challenging Project Planning Manager role within a market-leading environment where no day is ever the same, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate considerable experience in planning and project management, ideally gained within the construction industry. Other fast-paced technical environments will be considered, with experience in modular construction proving distinctly advantageous.
Essentially, you will possess strong leadership and team management skills, effective communication skills at all levels, and the ability to engage with and influence customers, suppliers, and tradespeople (electricians, carpenters, etc.). You should also have excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, managing multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously while being mindful of resources required, storage logistics, and deadlines in line with customer requirements.
Additionally, you will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, proficiency in project management software and tools, and comprehensive knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations. A full clean UK driving licence is essential for the position, as there will be occasions where travel to sites may be required. While remote/hybrid working is available, you will essentially be able to visit the Head Office environment near Cheltenham on a weekly basis or more, so will realistically live within an hour's radius of the Cheltenham/Gloucester area.
