We’re looking for a Procurement Administrator to join our team in Kings Hill, West Malling.
The Procurement Administrator position will directly support the Westfalia UK Procurement team. You will handle key administrative tasks including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and organizing travel. Alongside the administrative tasks you will also gather a wider exposure into the procurement process, including maintaining supplier records, delivering detailed procurement reports, analysing data and coordinating with cross functional teams. The Procurement Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and timely delivery of Westfalia’s procurement objectives.
Responsibilities include:
* Work closely with procurement leadership to extract and refine data from reporting systems for thorough analysis.
* Maintain the accuracy and consistency of procurement reports.
* Conduct regular data analysis to provide valuable insights that support strategic decision-making within the procurement function.
* Liaise effectively with procurement teams to ensure smooth operations and collaboration.
* Monitor and update vessel arrivals and communicate with both Sales Support and Procurement teams.
* Proactively engage with cross-functional teams, including Sales Support, to identify and report any outstanding expected packing lists to the Procurement department, ensuring prompt follow-up.
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Procurement department, including diary management and travel arrangements.
* Manage the reporting of claims and rejections to suppliers, providing detailed information on quality issues to facilitate resolution and drive continuous improvement within our supply chain.
Requirements
* Prior experience or exposure in an administrative role.
* A strong interest in developing a career within Procurement.
* Efficient organisational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive and adaptable approach to navigate challenges and evolving demands.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
* An introduction to the fresh produce industry is beneficial
* Proficiency in Power BI, providing a strong advantage for data analysis and reporting.
* Fluency in additional languages would be beneficial.
* Educational background within numerical would be advantageous
* Prior experience in Procurement or Supply Chain is desirable
