My client is a award winning fintech scale up operating within the financial wellbeing market. Having launched in 2018, they are on a mission to improve financial state of individuals within the UK via a variety of credit building and saving tools with education mixed in along the way.

We are now looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to join the team - you'll play a critical role in shaping and embedding compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to UK regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you'll be instrumental in guiding our teams to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and deliver positive outcomes for our customers.
Your responsibilities:
Regulatory Expertise: Lead the interpretation and application of FCA regulations, particularly around Consumer Duty, to ensure compliance across all operations.
Consumer Duty Delivery: Design and execute frameworks for embedding Consumer Duty across the organization, ensuring customer-centric practices are applied.
Consumer Credit Compliance: Oversee the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and procedures related to regulated consumer credit products, in line with the CONC sourcebook and responsible lending principles.
Monitoring and Assurance: Conduct regular compliance monitoring and provide assurance to senior stakeholders on regulatory adherence.
Training and Guidance: Develop and deliver compliance training to teams, ensuring understanding of regulatory obligations and promoting a compliance-focused culture.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, providing strategic advice on regulatory impacts to product and service development.
Reporting: Prepare and present regulatory compliance reports to senior leadership and external regulators as required.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations, and Legal, to align business goals with regulatory standards
Requirements
* You have a strong background in compliance, with 5 years or more experience in financial services, ideally with some experience of consumer credit.
* You are well-versed in FCA regulations and their application to consumer credit products.
* You have proven expertise in delivering Consumer Duty initiatives.
* You possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams at all levels.
* You are highly analytical and detail-oriented, capable of interpreting complex regulations and translating them into practical solutions.
* You are proactive, collaborative, and committed to driving a customer-first approach in compliance practices.
* You are confident in using compliance monitoring tools and frameworks.
