This recruitment is for 3 Higher Executive Officer positions within the Finance Operations, Financial Management Reporting team.
The Financial Management Reporting team is responsible for conducting all foundation financial activities regarding Air Command, through owning report production and initial financial analysis. The team provides an efficient and effective In-Year Management (IYM) and Annual Budget Cycle (ABC) reporting function across Air Command units.
Key responsibilities of this post include but are not limited to:
1. Being a proactive line manager and developing a team of high performing Executive Officers.
2. Reviewing the upload of In-Year Management (IYM) and Annual Budget Cycle (ABC) profiles.
3. Reviewing and endorsing the quality of variance analysis and commentaries, ensuring they explain any key changes in business activity.
4. Checking the correct process is followed for identifying and processing mis-bookings.
5. Reviewing the accuracy of accruals, prepayments, and deferred income journals and ensure they are being matched in accordance with policy.
6. Endorsing control total transfers within specified timelines.
7. Checking to ensure all expenditure items are correctly categorised as committed or uncommitted on the Planning, Budgeting and Finance (PB&F) system.
8. Reviewing the progress of Business Plans and collaborate with business managers and your team, to ensure all material changes are reflected accurately.
9. Being the escalation point for business managers and your team when issues arise.
10. Assisting wider Finance Operations team with adhoc tasks.
