Digital Health Stock Management Assistant
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUHFT) Digital Health team is responsible for the delivery of digital services across the Trust to support its clinical and administrative obligations.
The Department comprises of 4 main areas - Digital Hospital, Operational, Informatics & Information Governance and made up of over 50+ staff. Our aims are to provide the highest level of digital services and support to the Trust staff, the Trust's partners, and commissioners.
The Digital Health Service Management Team are looking to recruit a Digital Health Stock Assistant for 12.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be someone who understands the value of providing outstanding customer service and is able to effectively balance the need for IT service delivery with the operational needs of a large, busy hospital. Able to work proactively under pressure and deliver against individual and team Key Performance Indicators.

Main duties of the job
* Assisting in maintaining the containers full of stock, booking in deliveries, delivering, and arranging collection of equipment.
* Assisting with the Registration Authority process, by unlocking cards, and printing new cards.
Essential skills include excellent customer service and communication skills. The ability to prioritize and work well as part of a team is also essential.
While the role is based at the main hospital site, you will be expected to travel to the Trust's other sites when required for work purposes, for which transport will be provided, so a full driving license is essential.
A high level of IT Literacy is required.

Job responsibilities
* Supporting the Desktop Service Administrator with internal supply chain services e.g. receipts, distribution and/or materials management using computerised receipts, storage and/or bar-coded data capture systems.
* Unpacking and checking delivered items against delivery/order information, taking corrective action where necessary and maintaining audit records.
* Booking in equipment that has been delivered by the suppliers, updating the procurement system and the ITSM system with the details.
* Updating the ticket via the Fresh Service ticketing system and moving it to the appropriate team to deal with.
* Delivering equipment and arranging collection of equipment around the trust.
* Occasional cover for the Desktop Service Administrator in raising requisitions/orders to purchase regular stock and non-stock goods/services.
* Decommissioning old equipment following the NNUH process.
* Assisting with container management making sure any stock is logged.
* Understanding and complying with the policies and procedures in relation to the Registration Authority and local policies and procedures in relation to the issue and use of Smart Cards.
* Having a working knowledge of the necessary identification documentation needed to identify individuals for the purpose of issuing them with Smart Cards.

Qualifications
* A good level of education (A levels or equivalent).
* Registration Authority Systems Administration Training.
Experience
* Experience within the NHS or Health sector.
* Some understanding of the Procurement Process.
Skills
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office components e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.
