Job Description:
The New Product Development Technician will support all areas of product development from implementing product design enhancements to providing technical support throughout the business.
Other responsibilities for the New Product Development Technician will include:
Product development from concept to product launch
1. Provide design solutions for customer requirements
2. Research new materials and design techniques
3. Involvement with materials and processes for manufacturing
4. Construct prototypes for testing and analysis
5. Train and present new products
6. Value engineering products to achieve cost savings
7. Undertake site visits to review any product issues
8. Completion of NPD documentation including Bills of Materials, special product requests, technical specification documents, drilling drawings, and product change notices
Candidate Requirements:
9. Experience using Revit, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
10. Knowledge of BIM and Bills of Materials
11. Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
12. Have a proactive and hands-on approach
13. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
14. Excellent communication skills
15. Problem-solving skills
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 Per Annum
