Job Responsibilities
1. Provide inductions, programmes, and reviews to members to help them achieve their fitness goals.
2. Provide energising classes whilst on shift if scheduled and motivate members into achieving their goals.
3. Engage with members for the duration of your shift, offering advice and motivating them to attend classes, as well as offering programmes and reviews to aid retention and referrals.
4. Provide general club orientation to guests upon arrival, such as the location and use of locker rooms, gym, and pool.
5. Welcome and acknowledge each guest and member with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly welcome, using their name when possible.
6. Carry out regular Health & Safety checks, pool testing, sauna, and steam room checks.
7. Process new member sign-ups.
8. Maintain cleanliness of workstation, gym, locker rooms, poolside, sauna, and steam room.
9. Dispose of rubbish and dirty linens in the correct area.
10. Clean and stock supplies and amenities in the locker rooms.
11. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and support with first aid if required.
12. Monitor the pool area and ensure users are safe and adhering to rules.
13. Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Level 2 Fitness Instructor Required.
2. A warm, people-oriented demeanor.
3. A team-first attitude.
4. A gift for paying attention to the smallest details.
5. A pool plant, pool lifeguard, and/or first aid qualification are desirable, although we support your training to obtain these qualifications.
6. An interest in the fitness industry.
