An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a friendly, motivated Paediatric team at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
The successful candidate will be based within the Paediatric Outpatients Department at The Royal Glamorgan Hospital which cares for children aged 0-16 years.
Main duties of the job
1. Supporting and caring for children and their families.
2. Assisting the Registered Nurses, play leader, and the Medical team to ensure the smooth running of the Unit.
3. Ensuring the stock of equipment and general cleanliness on the unit is maintained.
4. Working with the Registered Nurses to provide outpatient care for children and their families, including carrying out observations such as height and weight, and supporting with phlebotomy.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Knowledge
* NVQ level 2 or the equivalent level of knowledge, training & experience.
Experience
* Experience of caring for children within the field of health or social care.
* Previous HCSW experience in a healthcare environment.
