CBC Health Federation arelooking to recruit a Band 3 Health Care Assistant (HCA) to support UrgentPrimary Care (UPC) services in Gateshead. This is a temporary 12-month fixedterm contract, working 18 hours per week.

We arelooking for an enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, and approachable person, whois skilled and qualified in a range of HCA duties
It isessential that you have excellent inter-personal and communication skills andcan demonstrate experience working unsupervised and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will need to beflexible as key requirements of this role involve some evening and weekendworking.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will support the Urgent Primary Care (UPC) Service which operates 7 days a week, 24/7.
The post holder will be responsible for directly supporting the UPC team with a range of delegated duties including hands on delivery of clinical procedures alongside administrative duties and co-ordination of services.
The service operates from several locations, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Bede Centre and Blaydon Primary Care Centre.

1. Ability to take routine observation including Blood pressure, oxygen saturations and blood glucose monitoring
2. Knowledge of Data Protection and Caldicott Principles
3. Ability to communicate accurately verbally and in writing with a wide range of people.
