Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:30 (Full-Time)
Pay: Minimum £157.66 daily

We are seeking passionate and dedicated PGCE students to work as Teaching Assistants in schools across Newport and Torfaen. This role will allow you to support and assist teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students across a range of year groups. You'll have the chance to be involved in helping students with their learning and development, whether they need additional support or are excelling in their studies.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll have flexibility with your schedule and the opportunity to work across different schools, gaining exposure to various teaching styles and environments. You’ll also be able to manage your own diary to track bookings and availability, ensuring a balance between your professional and academic commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the delivery of high-quality lessons alongside the classroom teacher.
* Support students in their learning and development, ensuring an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere.
* Adapt to working with different age groups and school environments.
* Stay updated with current educational trends and best practices.
Essential Requirements:
* PGCE student working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A Child only DBS certificate registered on the Update System.
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
