Job title: Early Careers & Skills Development Manager (Munitions) Location: Glascoed - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary\: Circa £60,000 dependent on skills and experience What you’ll be doing\: Acting as a subject matter expert for key Munitions and Early Careers leaders & stakeholders, external partners & providers and the Early Careers & Skills (Munitions) team in relation to the Apprenticeship, Graduate and Education Services activity across Munitions Management responsibility for the Early Careers & Skills (Munitions) Team consisting of a Graduate Lead and an Early Careers Coordinator A focus for the role will be ensuring outstanding learning and development opportunities for the apprentices through highly effective work placements, off the job and specialist training, that is delivered within an inclusive, supportive and safe work environment enabling individuals to fulfil their full potential. Support the effective management of the safeguarding, inclusive learning, SHE and welfare arrangements of apprentices and graduates to create an inclusive, supportive and safe working environment for all. Establish and deliver an Education Partnership strategy for the Munition business, meeting local site needs while aligning to the National approaches Provide and interpret accurate management data to effectively monitor performance against set KPIs, with a focus on ensuring timely performance and quality improvement interventions Your skills and experiences: Experience of working in an Early Careers environment with an understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and Frameworks, funding, program delivery models Demonstrable experience leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery, quality, relevance, and accessibility to high quality learning Proven line manager and highly competent in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including quality, funding and compliance, capability and business sectors / teams Experience gained working in an engineering, manufacturing or education environment Desirable qualifications include Level 4 Training & Development or Level 4 Leadership & Management. The Early Careers team\: You will be joining a team that delivers the Early Careers provision for BAE Systems Munitions. The team currently consists of the Team Manager, a Graduate Lead and a Coordinator with a requirement to fill the team Manager position. The team is dispersed in different locations across the UK and whilst remote working is a key element to this role there is an expectation you will spend time in the office as required.
