The role We are looking for people to work as part of a highly skilled and passionate team delivering aStop Smoking Service, operating across Devonto support local residents to quit smoking through a 3-tiered approach service. The role is ideally suited to people with strong communication skills, who enjoy working with clients to support them to make improvements to their health. We support clients to give up smoking through delivering tailored stop smoking support, including carrying out initial assessments and interventions using proven behaviour change techniques in line with national guidelines. You will have a wide caseload and will need to be able to prioritise multiple clients needs via multiple channels including in community settings, workplaces and virtually using digital media. You will be leading a team to deliver excellent client experience. You will be able to use your interpersonal and influencing skills to get results as part of a high performing team used to working towards KPIs as agreed individual and team outcomes. You will be providing leadership to ensure the team are able to deliver against agreed service targets. You will need to be an independent self-starter, flexible and driven by a desire to help people to positively change their lifestyle behaviours. You will support the service lead in any team performance reporting and lead the team to deliver a quality service. You will also deliver community engagement events across Devon. YouMUSTbe able to drive and have access to a car. Hybrid setting & will work from home, out in the community and in the office based on the services needs. Role will require you to be in the office up to 3 days per week and 2 days working from home or out in the community. You will live in the local area of Exeter to be able to travel and work daily in the community and the office premises. You will own a car and be able to drive to client sites and other offices if required. Key elements of the day-to-day role: Contribute to the assessment of clients for suitability for the service and eligibility for the right tier of support. To carry out CO testing using equipment provided. To assess nicotine dependence and readiness to quit using the Fagerstrom test. To support the client in making the best decision on pharmacotherapy - Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products. Provide NRT via a voucher scheme/direct supply. Ensure appropriate records are kept for all contacts with the service via the service CRM. Follow up and support clients to 4 week and 12-week quits. Support clients who fail in their attempt to re-engage with the service and make subsequent attempts. Seek out opportunities to develop and implement stop smoking services in a range of health and community settings. Complete all service paperwork in a timely manner in line with agreed protocols. Working as part of a Team:eg, ** As part of a team, deliver person centred care whilst meeting the service standards and objectives. As part of the leadership team, you will support the Service Lead to ensure quality service delivery and development in line with the service specification. Leadership and mentoring team members ensuring all work is in line with the vision, mission and values of the organisation. Understanding ICE procedures e.g. safeguarding, Disciplinary procedure, capability procedure, annual leave etc Managing employee relations such absence or performance related challenges. Being able to have difficult and supportive conversations from time to time. Giving regular feedback to your team and identifying any training requirements. Work closely with the service lead and HR on any employees change in contract discussions. Managing employees holidays and signing these off. Essential existing skills/experience: You will live in the Devon/Exeter area. Previous coaching experience of 12+ months. Understanding of behaviour change techniques. Post holders will need to be able to independently travel with own car. IT literate and able to confidently use online methods of communication. You will also need to have a good eye for detail, and you will be accurate with data input and reporting. Customer facing experience ideally in health setting or service. Experience of using databases or digital systems to record data. You need to be a people person and thrive on engaging people including clients and stakeholders/partners. Experience in a leadership position, conducting 1:1s etc. Have we described you?
