Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
You will be coming from either a health or social care background to join our team at a very exciting time. The team has undergone recent restructuring internally and is now exploring how we can work more efficiently and effectively across our local system in conjunction with the Integrated Care Board.
You will take the lead in developing and delivering the highest standards of safeguarding across our acute, community and specialist services as well as driving the safeguarding conversation across the South West ICB, helping to ensure system-wide excellence in the care of patients in Devon.
Your role will be responsible for leading the safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) team, and providing Board assurance on our statutory requirements relating to safeguarding our patients and staff. You will be instrumental in defining the required organisational service delivery model to ensure our continued safe working across our Trust.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 (flexible working may be considered)
