You must be able to maintain and troubleshoot the Digital Services Infrastructure to enable maximum system availability. A key part of the role is to investigate and demonstrate the use of new and emerging technologies to support and improve ways of working across the organization.

About Us
We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented, and committed workforce who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return, we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.
There are 13 members of our Infrastructure Team, which enables us to offer a broad range of skills. Although the Person Specification (within the job description) may seem vast, it is important to realize we have specialists in each of the key areas, and it is only when we come together as a team that we can encompass everything.
You will soon find that no two days are the same, and the opportunities to learn and develop are always there and very much encouraged.
The Trust works from more than 70 sites across Cumbria, Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead, South Tyneside, and Sunderland. We have more than 8,000 people working for us and a budget of over £500 million. All of which means this is definitely not a 9 - 5 desk-based office job.
Job Responsibilities
The Infrastructure Technician role is a mix of innovation and support. It goes without saying we always strive to maximize system uptime, but providing users with access to the latest technologies to make their roles easier and maximize our valuable resources across the Trust is also key to the success of the infrastructure team.
The configuration, documentation, support, maintenance, and development of the Trust's server, network, and telephony infrastructure is key to the role.
As part of the infrastructure team, working alongside the other Digital Service functions, you will quickly develop relationships and opportunities that combine to form both a challenging and rewarding role.
