Account & Relationship Management (Sales)
Power Flex Cables has an opportunity for a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth within and beyond our customer database. The right applicant will demonstrate their capacity to further develop the business sales performance through nurturing existing and establishing new avenues of business, lead conversion, referrals, educating clients across our product range and generating repeat business.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing relationships with stakeholders including manufacturers, electrical contractors, wholesalers and engineering consultants.
* Identifying and strategically engaging with prospects.
* Expanding market share.
* Working with existing partners to maintain engagement and supplier preference.
* Travelling within SEQ and northern NSW to visit prospects and clients.
* Following up quotes, first time customers and reinvigorating inactive accounts.
* Converting internal sales RFQ’s into orders, accounts and repeat business.
* Driving customer growth and achieving sales targets.
* Attending industry conferences and trade shows as required.
* Collaborating with accounts and warehousing to support a smooth sales process from start to finish.
* Sourcing additional products from our network of specialist suppliers in order to fulfill customer’s project requirements.
* Supporting internal sales in busy periods (answering incoming lines, quoting products, processing orders and providing after sales service).
You will have administration support and the backing of our dedicated logistics and warehousing teams to impress your customers with speedy service and delivery times, giving you the confidence that your customers will be receiving excellent service all round. We maintain local warehouses full of stock, including on-site where our fluorescent vested heroes dispatch thousands of meters of cable and orders per day. The sky is the limit for someone who wants to exceed expectations and excel through performance bonuses.
Candidate
The ideal candidate will be confident in communicating with customers and not be afraid to reach out and pursue new business opportunities. Experience in business development, direct sales, account management and or business development is a pre-requisite for this role.
A working knowledge or experience within the electrical industry through previous positions, trades qualifications and/or tertiary education will be highly regarded, however, applicants who can demonstrate their commitment and success in another industry will be seriously considered.
Criteria
* Ability to interpret customer requirements, check product specification sheets and willingness to seek assistance or clarification with technical team members to resolve customer enquiries.
* 5+ years of combined experience across one OR more of the following:
o Experience in B2B sales or account management/sales role.
o Relevant Trade qualifications and customer service experience.
o Certificate/Diploma completion + relevant experience.
o Bachelor degree in engineering, business or otherwise (highly regarded).
* Proven track record of meeting KPI’s.
* Competence with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.
* Experience with CRM/sales software.
* Ability to navigate inventory management platforms (confirming stock availability etc.).
* Capacity to work in a team and support operational functions as required (answering phones, processing and following up purchase orders).
* Full-time availability - Monday – Friday 8.00 AM – 4.00 PM, Friday (2:30 PM finish).
* On-site role - North Brisbane Office location.
* Regular local and regional travel throughout Brisbane, SEQ/Northern NSW.
* Full working rights within Australia.
Ideally, the right candidate will be seeking a long-term position. On the job training and support will be provided. We are looking for someone who can be hands on from the start with customers and not afraid to dive in.
