Graduate Hotels is seeking an experienced Spa Manager to join The Randolph Hotel in Oxford, part of Graduate Hotels by Hilton and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts!
The landmark 151-bedroom Randolph Hotel in Oxford is part of the Graduate Hotels collection. The boutique hotel takes inspiration from the prestigious Oxford University, with nods to college architecture and crests, as well as "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," created by alumnus Lewis Carroll.
THE ROLE
As Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operation and development of the Wellness Spa department in the hotel. You will be responsible for managing and motivating your team whilst demonstrating an exceptional level of professionalism. You will also be capable of working in a busy department and be adaptable and flexible in order to adjust to the day-to-day operational requirements whilst maximising the revenue of the department through treatments and retail sales.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Managing all aspects of the Wellness Spa including finance, training, promotions, and performance management to ensure the team consistently delivers memorable experiences.
2. Responsible for the department training plan and conducting hands-on training for the new recruitment.
3. Responsible for developing and delivering the overall Spa Strategy in conjunction with the General Manager.
4. Ensure guest expectations are exceeded and seek opportunities to improve the guest experience by seeking feedback.
5. Ensure all areas of the Spa are kept clean and well maintained.
6. Ensure consistent Spa experience development to ensure that innovation and uniqueness are maintained.
7. You will be required to ensure the team maintain high standards and deliver treatments of the highest quality whilst maximising revenue and retail sales.
8. Ensure proper inventories of all Wellness Spa products are conducted in order to effectively manage operational costs.
9. Ensure that the Wellness Spa follows the hotel's policies and procedures including health, hygiene, emergency, and Fire.
10. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the products and services of competitive Spas, to maintain a competitive advantage.
11. Attend daily morning HOD meetings.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
1. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent.
2. A keen interest in wellbeing, beauty, and sustainability.
3. Excellent customer service skills and a true passion for making others feel better.
4. Management experience in running a spa within a luxury environment.
5. Extensive knowledge of all spa treatments.
6. Good standards of computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Excel.
7. Outstanding leadership, training, and development skills.
