How the Role Will Make an Impact:
We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and commercially aware Technical Product Manager. As Technical Product Manager for Hardware Products, you will collaborate with internal teams to coordinate product requirements, identify innovation opportunities, and drive the development of our hardware products and brands.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Coordinating product requirements to understand industry trends and identify new product ideas for hardware products.
* Developing project proposals and managing them through the product development process to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.
* Ensuring a pipeline of new products is delivered on time with strong commercial potential.
* Assisting in identifying the necessary testing and certification processes for accessing different markets, which may involve working with accredited laboratories and certification bodies.
* Maintaining awareness of compliance regulations and standards within relevant markets and advising the organization accordingly.
* Supporting the Head of Technical Product to compile the business requirements for new markets and ensuring solutions to mitigate risk.
* Acting as a Subject Matter Expert to support the Technical Product Team in ensuring that all regulatory testing, documents, technical files, and product markings are compliant with the specific requirements of each market.
* Providing surveillance and support to assist in maintaining the Company’s Compliance Matrix.
* Supporting Product Development teams and ensuring all compliance requirements are identified and fulfilled in line with Company critical path.
Key Skills:
* Strong strategic analysis skills.
* Experience within new product development.
* Experience managing a product portfolio and simultaneous projects.
* Product lifecycle management (including supersession and end-of-life management).
* Demonstrable product management experience in Door and Window Hardware through Distributor and OEM routes to market.
* Demonstrable experience in Certification and Regulations.
* Proven successful record with delivering hardware products from start to finish.
