To provide support in developing and overseeing an acute medicine educational programme for a range of staff. Develop processes to support staff practice, to ensure staff are competent in all aspects of acute medicine and implement recording systems to indicate progress. To support Ward Managers for ensuring compliance with Trust mandatory training requirements for all grades of nursing staff. Seek opportunities to develop clinical practice and support the writing of clinical guidelines to support advanced nursing practices within the Acute Medical Unit. Ensure a high standard of evidence based nursing practice by undertaking clinical audit and research activities. Have an awareness of activity throughout the emergency services Directorate and participate in clinical duties as required. To promote the role of educator as being one of high value and status and contribute to the trust being seen as a learning organisation.
