Teaching Assistant Job Details:
Position: Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday (5 days per week, term time)
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Actual Salary: £80.00 - 95.00 Per Day PAYE
School Type: Special School catering to primary, secondary, and post-16 pupils with autism and complex needs
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students with autism and complex needs.
Help students with their academic, social, and personal development.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure positive development of students.
Foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere for students to thrive in.
Maintain a safe, clean and tidy learning environment.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, or working with individuals with autism and complex needs is desirable, or just a passion to do so!
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by students with special needs.
Patience and resilience to provide consistent support and care.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students.
Relevant qualifications in special education or related fields are desirable, or the willingness to work towards relevant qualifications.
Be commutable to Leatherhead, Surrey.
